Dash for Cash, traditionally known as a calf scramble, is something just for the kids in the audience. Kids 12 and under get to assemble in the arena, and at a given signal, they try to capture a flag off of a calf. The child that's successful in capturing the flag is announced the winner and given a prize.
Although the calf scramble is an integral part of nearly every rodeo held in the United States, there are some risks of injury associated with the event. If you are a parent or adult supervisor of children, and have concerns about the safety of your child, please do not allow them to participate. The Rodeo assumes no responsibility for injury.
