This annual event is held the 1st weekend in June each year, with the ride beginning and ending at Resistol Arena. Riders can choose from a variety of distances including a 100K, 75K, 33K and 5 Mile Family Fun Ride
Locally the Rodeo Bike Ride supports the following projects:
- Award six $1,500 College Scholarships for Mesquite students
- Send six Mesquite students to Camp RYLA for leadership skills training
- Donations to the Mesquite Adult Literacy program
- Donations to the Mesquite Public Health Clinic
- Donations to the Mesquite Police Department Bicycle Patrol program.
- Major support for local area dental and other health services at the Mission East Dallas County clinic
- Donations to Mesquite Social Services for their Food Bank, and other needs
- Donations to Mesquite Clothes Closet to assist in providing clothing for needy students
- Donation to support the Mesquite “Red Ribbon Week Youth Leadership Conference”
- Donations to Mesquite Youth Services programs for at-risk and other youth
- Donations to the Boy Scouts of America Circle 10 Council to support their programs
- Provide monthly and annual recognition programs for outstanding Mesquite youth
- Have made a major donation in recent years to Meadowview School in Mesquite, to assist in expanding their classroom facilities
- Have provided donations to the American Heart Association and American Cancer Society
- Working currently with the city on a major Rotary Centennial Playground Project to provide greatly-enhanced equipment for the enjoyment of local wheelchair-bound and other handicapped children
