Venue Policies

 

Air Conditioned
Resistol Arena is an air-conditioned facility.

Alcohol Policies
Texas law provides that you must 21 years of age to purchase and/or consume alcoholic beverages.  Upon request, each guest may be asked to present valid identification at the time of purchase.  The Mesquite Championship Rodeo reserves the right to refuse service to any guest.  Alcohol sales will cease at 9:00pm during regular Rodeo performances.  Beer may be purchased at the concession stands.  Beer, wine and mixed drinks are available at the BBQ Pavilion.

ATM
There is one ATM located on the East side of the arena next to the BBQ Pavilion.

Autographs
Guest of Resistol Arena can get an autograph from 6:45pm – 7:15pm every Rodeo night just inside the East and West entrance doors. Cowboys/Cowgirls are also available each night after the Rodeo performance at the autograph booth on the West side of the Arena.

BBQ Pavilion
BBQ Pavilion opens one (1) hour prior to the Rodeo performance. The Pavilion features a buffet that includes BBQ beef brisket, slices smoked sausage, BBQ sauce, rodeo beans, country potato salad, relishes, hot rolls, peach cobbler, iced tea and lemonade. The cost is $10.95 for adults and $7.00 for children.

Borden Dash-for-Cash
The Dash-for-Cash is open for all children ages 8 years and younger. Children do not need to sign-up in advance.  Learn more

Cameras, Digital Cameras, Camcorders
Guests can bring in their own cameras, digital cameras and camcorders.

Concession Stands
Concession stands are located on both sides of the arena and feature hot dogs, nachos, water, soft drinks, beer, peanuts and candy.

Donations
Donation requests can be made by completing a donation request form under the Community tab.

Fan Mail
Guests can send fan mail to:  Mesquite Championship Rodeo, Attn:  Fan Mail, 1818 Rodeo Drive, Mesquite, TX  75149.

Elevators
Elevators are located just inside the East entrance doors.  Guests must show their tickets to gain access to the elevators and Suite Level.

Entrance Doors
Entrance Doors are located on the East and West sides of the Arena. Doors open one (1) hour prior to the scheduled Rodeo.

Food & Beverage
Guests are not permitted to bring in any outside food and drink. Food & Beverages are available at the BBQ Pavilion or arena concession stands.

First Aid
If you need medical assistance, please contact the nearest Resistol Arena staff member.

Handicapped Seating

Lost and Found
During events contact the nearest Resistol Arena staff member or call the office at 972-285-8777, Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.

Merchandise
Visit the Merchandise Store online 24 hours a day, or visit the Merchandise Store and Kiosks during the Mesquite Championship Rodeo.

Peddling or Vending
Peddling or vending of merchandise or printed materials at Resistol Arena is not allowed.

Mutton Bustin'
Is an event during the Mesquite Championship Rodeo where guests ages 4 years and older, weighing 55 lbs or less will get the opportunity to ride a sheep.  Mutton Bustin contestants are drawn from a random drawing during each Rodeo performance.  To sign-up for Mutton Bustin visit the MCR Sales table on the East side of the Arena.  Learn more

Parking
Parking at the Mesquite Championship Rodeo is $5.00.

Rodeo Season
The regular Rodeo Season is every Friday and Saturday night beginning the 1st weekend of June and ending the last weekend of August.  View MCR Calendar

Smoking
Resistol Arena is a non-smoking facility.  Smoking is allowed only in designated areas – outside of the Arena.  To find the nearest smoking area, please contact a Resistol Arena staff member for assistance.

The Round-Up
This FREE Rodeo program is available upon entrance to the Arena and features interesting articles about the History of MCR, Rodeo Events along with a day sheet showing the competitors (cowboys and livestock) for the Rodeo.

Ticket Refund Policy

8-Second Club Membership

Refund Policy: 8-Second Club Membership for Resistol Arena and/or Mesquite Championship Rodeo may not be refunded. All ticket plan payments are non-refundable.

Exchange Policy:8-Second Club Members may exchange Mesquite Championship Rodeo tickets with other Mesquite Championship Rodeo dates for the same calendar year. Both tickets and access to the 8-Second Club are subject to availability. For an individual MCR date, access to the 8-Second Club for exchanged tickets is limited to the number of regular season 8-Second Club tickets owned. For example, if four 8-Second Club tickets are owned, up to four exchanged 8-Second Club Membership tickets may be granted access to the 8-Second Club for an individual MCR date. If more than four 8-Second Club tickets are exchanged for MCR date, only four exchanged tickets will be granted access to the 8-Second Club. Again, all ticket exchanges are subject to ticket availability and available capacity of 8-Second Club.

Group Tickets

Group Tickets for Resistol Arena and/or Mesquite Championship Rodeo may not be refunded or exchanged. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve any and all group seating areas at Resistol Arena and/or Mesquite Championship Rodeo. In the event of cancellation this deposit will be posted to your account as a cancellation fee.

Individual Tickets

Individual Tickets for Resistol Arena and/or Mesquite Championship Rodeo may not be refunded or exchanged. All sales are final.
