The Mesquite Championship Rodeo ...
Texas’ premier western family attraction
Our 53rd Season
Every Friday and Saturday night in 2010 (June 4th – August 28th) thousands of visitors will witness the thrills of the original western sport: the rodeo!
Mesquite Championship Rodeo is “family”
Families dominate the attendance at the rodeo and we like that. We work hard to provide an exciting place where children and adults can be safe and still get close to the action: crazy clowns, brave cowboys, talented cowgirls, fast horses and big bulls. Many of our guests are coming to see their first professional rodeo so you may see people from many nationalities and countries.
Mesquite Championship Rodeo
means business
The rodeo has hosted many business, sports, and political luminaries around the world including Prince Ranier of Monaco, President Ronald Reagan, and President George W. Bush. What to expect when you come to the Mesquite Championship Rodeo
At 6:30 pm the doors open
Families with children can enjoy face painting, cowboy autographs, visit the western store, eat at the BBQ pavillion or experience either a pony ride or petting zoo.
At 7:30 pm the action starts
The rodeo will open with an exciting new laser show followed by all the rodeo events you’ve come to expect at a championship rodeo: Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bareback Riding, Barrel Racing, Tie-Down Roping, Steer Wrestling, and Team Roping.
For the kids in attendance there is the Borden Dash-For-Cash and Mutton Bustin’.
Huge Video Boards around the arena provide slow motion replays of all the action.
